Don’t do evil, but still allow others to?

Posted by Gaaf on May 11, 2011 in Internet |

In a recent video, posted by our dear friend MattCutts Google announced that all of us are allowed to do Evil on google’s algorithm.

At least, that’s how we see it. Google doesn’t support options for Webmasters to inform Google of ‘evil’ behaviour by competitors or nonrelated webmasters for a certain domain.

In some cases it still is hard to rank high for a specific keyword in Google, if we are trying to do it the right way it is, but now, we have a solution, just get your better ranking opponents to get banned by linking to them using ‘black-hat’ seo.

Doesn’t this sound weird to us? We’re living in a period of time were terms like, Social Media, User Generated Content, Engagement, Cloud, Crowdsourcing and more are more used terms than ever before, why is ‘doing evil’ than still possible @Google?

Any thoughts?  Leave a comment below.
